Quaternary Ammonium 5G
QUATERNARY AMMONIUM 5G: It is a germicidal, bactericidal and fungicidal product used for disinfection treatments of both: agricultural plantations, food plants, industries in general; as well as equipment and utensils used in industrial processes
QUATERNARY AMMONIUM 5G, has 5th generation quaternary ammonium as active principle. The fifth generation has a higher germicidal performance under harsh conditions and is safe to use.
Quaternary ammonium compounds represent a family of antimicrobial compounds, considered as powerful cationic active agents in terms of their disinfectant activity, since they are active in eliminating gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. They are bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal. They develop their activity on both acid and alkaline environments. They are compatible with cationic, nonionic and amphoteric surfactants.
QUATERNARY AMMONIUM 5G, it is not irritating. It is not detergent and they are soluble in water and alcohol. Meets the requirements of FDA standard 178.1010 for use as a bactericide, do not rinse in contact with food at doses between 150 and 400 ppm of active ingredient.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
MECHANISM OF ACTION. - Quaternary ammonium compounds are attached to the surface of microorganisms, exerting their biocidal activity, inhibiting the functions of the cell wall and the cytoplasmic membrane or by physical interaction with the cell membrane.
Microbiological activity. - This product has shown bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal and tuberculocidal activity.
Action time. - According to microbiological analysis, the action time is approximately 1 minute.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION INFORMATION
Appropriate extinguishing measures:
Use water, dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxideSpecial measures for equipment:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit against fire.Specific hazards arising from the chemical
Thermal decomposition can produce irritating vapors such as carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride gas.SPILL AND LEAK PRECAUTIONS
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Small spills can be washed with plenty of water.
Environmental precautions:
This product is highly polluting of waterways.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Stop leak if it can be done without risk. Contain and collect spill with non-combustible absorbent material (eg sand, earth, diatomaceous clay, vermiculite), and container for disposal in accordance with local and national regulations (see section 13). Remove traces with water.
For large spills, dike the spilled material or otherwise contain the material to ensure that the leak does not reach a water channel.HANDLING AND STORAGE
Store properly closed and labeled containers in the chemical warehouse.
